Hare Krsna Das was born in a devout Hindu family in Mumbai and was drawn to the teachings of Bhagavad Gita and ISKCON at an early age of 16 years. He is professionally qualified as a Company Secretary and a Law graduate, but after working in the corporate world for five years, he decided to take up monkhood and utilize his skills for spiritual purposes. Since nearly two decades he’s been staying as a member of Radha Gopinath Brahmachari Ashram (Monastery), at ISKCON Chowpatty, Mumbai, where he oversees the Legal & Public Relations departments of the temple.

Hare Krsna Das lives in Rishikesh, in the global yoga hub and yoga capital of the world, sharing the principles and practices of Bhakti Yoga with seekers, students and teachers from various backgrounds. He regularly interacts with youth and professionals from different fields, sharing the wisdom of Bhagavad Gita and other ancient Vedic texts with an emphasis on practical application in the urban living. Hare Krsna Das also participates in interfaith dialogues, representing the Vedic culture and philosophy, and it is no wonder he is widely known among his students for his all-inclusive approach and welcoming mood.

At Bhakti Yoga Rishikesh, Hare Krsna Das is the lead philosophy teacher. By walking the talk, he helps his students in bringing the principles and concepts from the ancient scriptures into easily understandable values anyone can relate to. Being well-rooted in his spiritual practice, Hare Krsna Das transmits the teachings from his teachers in a way suitable to the modern audience, with a touch of humour and flavoured with love – the essence of Bhakti.
