the festival

Our biggest gathering of the year

Every October the kirtan community of Rishikesh — joined by singers and seekers from across the world — gathers for five nights of continuous sacred song. Visiting kirtaniyas and resident singers take the seat one after another, the mridanga finds its pulse, and a hall of hundreds becomes one voice.

There are no tickets and no performance. Kirtan Mela is not a concert — it is a shared practice. You arrive as audience and leave as choir.
