Once a year · on the banks of the Ganga
Kirtan Mela 2026
Five evenings of sacred song. One voice.
Singers and seekers travel from across the world to chant together at the MVT hall in Rishikesh — five nights, free for all.
the festival
Our biggest gathering of the year
Every October the kirtan community of Rishikesh — joined by singers and seekers from across the world — gathers for five nights of continuous sacred song. Visiting kirtaniyas and resident singers take the seat one after another, the mridanga finds its pulse, and a hall of hundreds becomes one voice.
There are no tickets and no performance. Kirtan Mela is not a concert — it is a shared practice. You arrive as audience and leave as choir.
